What happens to the clothes now?

The clothes are taken to our Dress for Success boutique, sorted and inventoried for our Image Coaches to get them prepared for clients.

How does someone qualify to receive a suit for an interview?

Clients qualify for a suit when they come to Dress for Success through a referral agency who has confirmed they have an interview set-up. Women qualify for one week's worth of separates when they have been hired for a job.

I know someone who needs a suit, whom should they contact?

They should contact a local service organization (non-profit, government, etc.) that provides employment services and request that they refer them to Dress for Success when they have an interview set-up.

What services are available?

Dress for Success provides work appropriate attire, interview skills training, mock interview sessions, resume assistance, and ongoing mentoring for personal and professional growth and development through the Professional Women's Group (PWG) from women who have gone through the Dress for Success program and are working.

After they are hired, can they receive more clothing?

Yes, women qualify for one week's worth of separates when they have been hired for a job.

Can I make a cash contribution?

Yes. We accept online cash donations or checks can be made out to Dress for Success Twin Cities.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Please ask an Edina Realty representative for a tax receipt for your donations.

What sizes of clothing do you need most?

All sizes. However, 0-4 and 16+ are especially needed.

What can I donate? Just suits?

You can donate suits, blouses, jackets, pants, accessories, shoes, unused nylons or stockings, handbags/purses, and any other work-appropriate attire.

Should the items be clean and on hangers?

Yes, we appreciate clean items on hangers. As we are a non-profit organization, we do not have sufficient funds to clean all donations.

Can I donate hangers?

Yes, we are always in need of hangers. Dress for Success Twin Cities suits over 1,000 women every year which adds up to a lot of clothing!

How can I become involved?
