Avoid foreclosure and save your credit and dignity! Many homeowners are facing foreclosure that is the ugly truth, but it is the reality many homeowners are facing today. Every day more and more LIS pendants are being filed at the county clerk's office on Staten Island, New York. Homeowners are waiting without taking action, hoping for loan modifications to come through for many months only to find out they have been denied by their mortgage bank, sometimes as late as 10 days prior to a foreclosure auction sale is already scheduled to take place on the steps of the court house. Very few Banks will grant a loan modification if you apply way ahead of time, about two years a head of time and your current income is with in the accepted margin.
So what a homeowner to do when a foreclosure is 10 days away? Most homeowners will panic and will not contact anyone hoping this will not happened to them, it will happen. Here's what one of my homeowners did. The homeowner called me and asked me to help. I've been a Realtor for eight years and I've been helping families that are facing foreclosure for the past three years. I was able to stop the foreclosure sale from taking place. The homeowners who have 3 children where able to stay at the home. We have found a qualified buyer to purchase their home. Now the family had found a place to live that they are happy with. Most importantly, we stopped the foreclosure and saved their credit. In a few years from now they will be able to buy a new home. When facing foreclosure, don't give up.
