4th Quarter 2009_Manhattan Sales Market Report

By
Real Estate Agent with Halstead Property, LLC

The Manhattan real estate market may have started on the lower end of a seesaw in 2009, but according to fourth quarter reports, year's end showed fewer price cuts - and the price cuts we saw were not as severe. We also saw more price increases and a decrease in inventory from the prior year.

Not quite recovered from the Lehman Brothers collapse, there seems to be a sense of confidence and optimism among Manhattan buyers and sellers.

The market improved over the summer and into the end of the year.
