The Return of the Whales

Having grown up on Maui, I sometimes have to remind myself of the beauty of the island-it can be easy to take what you see every day for granted.  One thing, however, that never fails to amaze me, is the annual return of the Humpback whales.  Sitting at my desk at the Plantation Clubhouse today, I have a view of the water, and can watch them breaching.  Yesterday, at the Beach Club, we saw whales and spinner dolphins leaping out of the water together.

For those of you who can't make it to Maui, I thought you might enjoy this video:  Humpback Ballet | Ocean Futures Society
