I remember when I moved to the South Shore of Staten Island eleven years ago from Brooklyn, transportation was not that great. Actually it was pretty bad. I had to drive myself to Huguenot, park my car there and then take the express bus to Manhattan. The bus went through the 440 North and then the Staten Island expressway, traveling in traffic with all the other vehicles. Today we have a HOV lane in both directions for your convenience, making the commute easier and faster to get to work and also to get back home. Today eleven years later, it's pretty easy. There are express busses everywhere now. You just need to know which bus will take you to mid town and which bus will take you down town, the rest is pretty easy.
