This filter is free as a sample of the Dream Suite by Auto FX software and is a worthy download. The effects from this one filter save a lot of time over the manual equivalent in photoshop. I'm impressed enough to start saving for the whole package of tools they offer.
Sample
Before: Shot on the beach in Laguna. The light was harsh and the background, despite being beach sand, is distracting and not very attractive.
After
The filter really gave a studio quality to the photo. I used a layer mask to paint out part of the effect from the couple's faces but just enough to reduce the blur slightly. Other than minor tweaks in light levels and saturation, the bulk of the work was performed by the FX filter.
