As of January 18, 2010, there are 661 total listing on the MLS in Big Bear. Of the 661 listings, 58 are bank owned properties and 56 are short sale.
Short sale properties continue to be a problem because banks take a long time to respond and buyers get tired of waiting and move on to another property. Bank owned properties are much easier to buy than short sale.
