UPDATE

Today the Sacramento Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) held their monthly luncheon. Sylvia Hill, CPM, MPN graced us with her thoughts on being an effective and profitable property manager. She had driven up from San Jose the day before to avoid rushing through the rain storms we are having this week.

As is normally done at our chapter lunches, we had a 50/50 raffle. Raffle trickets are sold and the winner gets to keep half the pot. It turns out that Sylvia bought some tickets and after her speech, she won the raffle! She won a total of $175.00, not a bad return on her $5.00 purchase.

The next thing that happened initially surprised me. Sylvia handed me the money and told me to put it towards the Golf Tournament. Come to think of it, Sylvia is such a centered person and so charitable, I should have expected it. As soon as I returned to my office I made sure a check was mailed to NARPM National in Sylvia's name as a Friend of the Tournament. There is a category for that.

The charity for this tournament is Creative Living Options.a Sacramento non profit agency that supports independent living for local challenged adults. My son AJ is a client of CLO and they do a great job for him.

If you would like to get involved in this great event I encourage you to read the brochure and help us help CLO do it's good work.
