Motivational Power Quote

The Ultimate Tragedy

"Giving up is the ultimate tragedy."

Robert Donovan, writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The ultimate tragedy

The ultimate tragedy is giving up on our dreams.

As we move forward in pursuing our dreams we may encounter challenges and set backs. Those challenges and setback may seem to be overwhelming at times and we may feel like giving up.

Don't give up push through your obstacles and keep moving in the direction of your dreams.

The only real failure is giving up.

Keep your dreams and goals alive in your mind and sprite.  Focus on achieving your dreams and never give up.

Replacing dreams with better and better dreams is ok though.

Have a great day.

If you loose sight of your dreams what purpose do you have?  Having that dreams keeps us moving forward.

Lou, It isn't in me to give up and sometimes that is a blessing...at other times, I've sunk with some ships! But, no, never give up!

Lou, I'm glad I didn't give up....I never would have known if I would have gotten my dream.  I believe people should pursue them at (almost) all costs.

Lou - I have been absolutely loving your quote series.  I certainly do not believe in giving up - you work to hard to just simply throw your hands up and walk away!

Lou, It's so important to continue moving forward. Setbacks just help us grow stronger and build character (those that don't kill us).

In my opinion, there are some times it is prudent to "give up".  I know that is not the intended message here for a number of valid reasons.  It's not about trying and trying and then succeeding which is obviously admirable but there are examples of "lost causes" that come to mind where cutting our losses makes sense.  Just my thoughts.

Lou's message, that we continue to move obstacles out of our way to obtain our dreams is still a great one. I also agree with Michael Jacobs that sometimes the things we are striving for might not be doable and we do need to know when to cut our losses. For example, I'll never be a professional basketball player (not that I want to be, but if I did.....)
