If music strikes your fancy, than Austin is the place to be March 6th and 7th! This is just the first of two fantastic March music events happening in Austin. If you can't make this weekend then come March 12th -21st for the South by Southwest Music Festival and Media Conference (a real Texas style event).
In 2006 the Texas Heritage Songwriter's Association included the first four artists into its Hall of Fame. Since then 15 distinguished songwriters (including Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, Michael Martin Murphy, Rodney Crowell, Bruce Robison, Billy Joe Shaver and Kris Kristofferson) have been honored and three more will be added this March!
The festivities officially kick off on the 6th at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum with a private reception for VIP guests and sponsors. The main event on the 7th of the Texas Homecoming Awards Show and Concert will be held at the historic Paramount Theater. 
It looks like this year's honorees will be Clint Black, Mac Davis and Whitney Shafer and all of them are expected to take part in an intimate, pickin' party-style guitar pull.
