I Did It - I Did It - I Did It!

By
Real Estate Agent with Red Sign Realty

I have to admit that I was one of the REALTORS that sat back and let the buyers walk in the door and give me an offer on any of the mulititude of properties that were on the market back in 2004-2006.

Now I am like so many others that have to actually work for sales. I knew that that was what I was supposed to do but it was so much easier to just sit back and make money. By doing just that, I am in the same boat that so many other agents are - floating but a step away from drowning.

With a new year on us and so many opportunitiies before us, now is the time for agents like myself and even for seasoned agents to take stock of what works for us and what doesn't. If it doesn't work, get rid of it. If it does work, grab it and go forward. As someone very important once said - "Today is the first day of your life." If that is so, then we all have a chance to change how we do business and make 2010 the best year of our careers!

Many happy sales to all of you and a healthy New Year!

Pat, I hope things pick up for you soon!  I started out in January 2008...but it has been a lot more fun than I expected. Challenging? Yes. But I think we as realtors have the best, most flexible job on earth! :)

Sonja - It has been challenging as well for me but I feel there are such rewards in selling real estate that that outweighs the downside. Thanks for the comment.
