What makes a great real estate agent? Most agents think of themselves as great. On their webstes, they use terms like "exceptional service", "in your corner" or "knowledgeable and experienced." But most consumers don't believe these words, even if they are true. 80-90% of consumers choose to do business with their past agent or via a personal referral - a fact NAR surveys mimic year after year. And if the popularity of Yelp.com or Ebay is any indication, consumers are even willling to follow the advice of strangers on the Internet over direct propoganda.
So let's reengineer the question and ask...What do consumer's want in their agent? What do you think?
