Well, I've been blogging for a whole week now, and I'd like to thank everyone who has posted comments so far.  One of the many facets of sales I have enjoyed over the years is the sense of community and support among professionals in the field.  Sure, it's competitive out there- but I've always found a multitude of folks who are willing to take time to offer advice and encouragement... and I think that makes being in sales worthwhile.

The wonderful part of sales, of course, is that we can earn a living by helping people purchase what they need.  Unless someone just inherited a windfall or won the lottery, if they want a house, they'll need a realtor and a mortgage.  Then they'll need insurance.  Maybe to qualify for the mortgage, they'll need to consolidate their debt.  Perhaps after a few months, they'll be looking to restructure their home loan.  No one can find or perform all those services on their own- that's what salespeople are for!

And at Obbee, we're looking out for everybody.  We start with the consumers.  We use cutting-edge internet lead research tools to find and develop prospect profiles based on specific needs.  Then we package those profiles into lists to be delivered to targeted vendors.  That way, everybody wins.  At the end of the day, we feel fantastic about what we do, and we're in a position to offer support and encouragement too- keeping the cycle of goodwill going.
