Saint David has good news to those that live in Northern Cochise County. Three new business have arrived on Hwy 80, in the center of town. Wild West Hair, Meme's Outpost, and Shabby 2 Chic Boutique all opened their doors in the past month, and the citizens of Saint David are thrilled to have them here!
Wild West Hair is a full service Hair Salon run by Tracy Riker. My daughters and I have had the privilege of being Tracy's first customers when she opened the door July 3. Tracy did an excellent job understanding our wants, and needs and giving us all the hair cuts we truly wanted. "I just love doing hair, the coloring, styling, perms," Tracy told me that day. And I wasn't the only customer. She has had a steady stream of customers since opening a week ago, and she is thrilled with having a salon open again. Tracy owned and operated Head Hunters Hair Styling in Tucson, AZ. She has since moved to Saint David, and is enjoying a quieter pace of life here in Rural Arizona. For appointments, call (520) 720-9473.
Meme's Outpost is actually in the same building with Wild West Hair. Meme is Tracy's mom, who has always loved to collect and share her collections. You will find an array of items from clocks and dolls, to dishes and clothing at Meme's Outpost. Hours of Operation are currently Tuesday through Saturday 10-5. Hours subject to change. You can also reach Meme at (520) 720-9473.
Shabby 2 Chic is brought to our town by the hard work and intuition of Billie Bright and Laura Boughan. This boutique has a variety of custom clothing and home decor, digital scrapbooking, and home decorating consultations. Billie has been sewing custom clothing for over 15 years, including her sister's (and her own) wedding dress. She has done dresses for prom, formals, homecomings, and graduations. She also enjoys "spicing up" clothing with embroidery. Billie also sews custom curtains, crib and nursery bedding sets, slip covers, and "pretty much anything you can think of." Which is where Laura comes in! Laura is an interior designer, with a flair for the dramatic. Her homes are elegant and refined, with splashes of rich color. Laura dreams up lavish window treatments, and Billie can sew them, most times without a pattern. These two ladies are working hard together starting their business, but are already busy with custom orders and consultations. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am-5 pm. Hours are subject to change.
You can find Wild West Hair Salon, Meme's Outpost, and Shabby 2 Chic's boutique in Saint David, across from the schools and next to the post office, off of Miller Lane and Highway 80. The buildings used to be known as the "Country Bumpkin" and "Dragoon Mountain Real Estate", with St. David RV Park behind it.
