Facebook and Real Estate?

By
Real Estate Agent with The Landry Team-Keller Williams Realty

If you are in the business of Real Estate, and not on the internet using sites such as Facebook, then you are missing out on a huge opportunity to market....for FREE.

Some say that Facebook is just a narcissistic site, which allows people to overindulge in them-selves.  I say, it is what you make of it!

Facebook is a great way to get new business, stay in touch with customers, and network with other Real Estate professionals (which will lead to new business)!

Common sense needs to be used when using social media to market your business.  Don't post inappropriate pictures, language, and talk about anything which may be offensive to certain people.  Be professional, positive, and encouraging to others.  You reap what you sew.

In this market it's more important than ever to get business as cheap as possible.  Social media is the number one way to do that and effective if you stick with it.

I disagree with it being for the ego centric and people who say it is to connect with the people you didn't sleep with in college.  It is a good business tool.

You are correct, I agree you need to "edit" yourself if you are going to promote your business.  I find it hard to remember that when I'm updating.

Liz,

Just like with everything, Facebook is what you make of it.  It is very helpful to use it for staying in touch with customers, etc. It also allows us to be "human" to our clients.
