The South Sound Regional Escrow Association hosted an LPO clock hour last night at the LaQuinta Inn in Tacoma with Ben Comilang from Golf Savings Bank being our speaker.
Ben covered different issues that the real estate market has been faced with including foreclosures and short sales and also talked about a number of different programs currently available in the South Sound area:

- Washington State Housing Finance Commission - House Key Federal Way
- House Key Plus, 2nd mortgage loan - 5% interest with a 10 year term up to $10k statewide
- HomePath.com by Fannie Mae which are bank owned sales and only calls for 3% down
- Golf Savings Bank and Sterling Savings Bank special financing for the builder inventory sales
Of course and then there is the tax credit to talk about. You must be in contract by April 30th and closed by June 30th in order to qualify; $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers and a $6,500.00 move-up/repeat home buyer tax credit.
What a great time to buy a home. If you are working, that is!
