"WALL WORDS" HAVE YOU USED THEM IN STAGING ????

By
Home Stager with HOME STYLE AND STAGING LLC

Wall Words are a new accessory for walls now, I have used in my home and also in a staging in a limited space.

This was small powder room we staged in 2009

Then I came across this the other day and just had to share with you, this is very bold and "out there" would not use in staging for sure, but would you use in any re-design ? For you re-designers out there. The ceilings are very high, so guess that they were trying to bring the room in...

I used these in my last project; music notes in kids room.   I may use some in my current project.  I think they have a place in certain homes.

I have recommended these to interior design clients who are decorating a rental that has all white walls. The home is temporary until they look for a place to buy in a year or so. They don't want to paint colors because they'll have to paint back to white & won't be there that long. The temporary nature is also why they don't want to spend too much on art to fill the space. So, these can give them big impact & color very inexpensively. In a staging though, I probably would not use them, partially because I think they would be difficult to re-use over and over.

For staging...not sure, might confuse buyers. For design...just about anything goes if it works for the space!

I totally agree, that in staging it might be alittle confusing on a large scale. I did use the chandlier in a small powder room and it worked nicely, however, not sure I even like the large one in a home, maybe an office...maybe

I used them on small scale for staging & ensure the realtor knows they are removed easily if buyers don't like the look.  Sometimes it's the WOW on a tight budget that will ensure buyers remember this particular viewing.

I used them in a recent office redesign.  There was a large space over the window that just screamed for something and this seemed to fit he bill.  I think they are very nice and inspirational--even in staging--used sparingly.

Hi, I love Wall Words . I have used them in a recent project I was doing. I was asked to add decorative pieces to a nursing wall to make it feel more homey. You know how hard that is. I put quotes on some walls and added silouttes of trees and , cats and children. The residents love the words and stop to reada them as they walk along the hall ways. The best thing is they can't be bumped and remain the same all the time.

They are nice, but not for staging unless perhaps you used one simple word or phrase in an appropriate spot i.e. "dream" over the headboard in master bedroom.
