Creating Your Vision Board using Western Feng Shui - Here's Mine!

Education & Training with PRES Staging Resource Centre

A few posts ago I wrote about creating your 2010 Vision Board - a powerful tool for focussing on what you want to create in 2010. As a home stager and as the founder and creator of the PRES staging & redesign school, I believe it's important to know what your intentions are for yourself and how what you do affects others.

For the full article you can go to my website at under Archived Newsletters or cut and paste this link in your browser:

I created my Vision Board using the Western Bagua with 9 sections:

wealth, fame, relationships

family, health, creativity/children

self-cultivation, career, helpers/travel

I may change things throughout the year, adding or deleting with whatever feels right to me. It's fun to do and fabulous to see your year unfold the way you want. (or if you are a little more spiritual, the way the Universe thinks is best for your growth :)

Dana, I love the frame around the vision board - it finishes it off nicely.  I'm still working on my board - everything is in pieces right now, but soon it will be a reality.  Thanks for sharing this.

I use a vision board too and have experienced the amazing power that comes from using one. I don't employ feng shui, but I do consciously put items in the center that I want to be at the center of my life such as my faith. These boards really work! It's pretty much the same thing as writing down your goals, but in picture form for us people that are visually based.

I made a vision board a couple of years ago, and I know thatI should update, change and move things around. Which after reading your post I plan to do this weekend..and I plan to write a post about something on my vision board..and you have to be careful when you place a photo on there as you will get what you put on happened to me by mistake...I plan to post this in a day or two...

Dana - This couldn't be more timely!  Almost every speaker at the RESA conference touted establishing a vision board.  I'm going to refer to your full article and get busy!  Thanks for the tips.

Hi Anne - it is fun and so amazing what transpires so good for you that you have been doing it all along just not in a structured way! I'm doing another one for my 2010 BIG PICTURE INTENTIONS and that has been inspiring to me. If you read my earlier post you will be able to download your Western Feng Shui bagua if you want to work from that. It's all about setting your intention and what feels right for you. :)

Hello Dana,

I really enjoyed your post!  Vision boards do really work!  I brought mine out about 8 days ago and updated it.  I then hung it up on the wall above my desk in my home office.  I wanted it where I could look at it often.  Within a few days of hanging up my vision board - business picked up like crazy!  One of my listings went under contract, and I wrote an offer for a buyer client on a waterfront home that was accepted by the seller.  I now have 2 settlements scheduled at the end of March.  Also, I have 4 home buyers that I an now working with - 2 came from floor duty at the office & 2 are referrals from past clients.  This all happened within a few days of placing the vision board up on the wall by my desk.  Plus I am getting 2 new listings!  Yes, I can honestly say - vision boards do really work!  Thank you for sharing your vision board with us.
