Cottonwood CA Homes For Sale-MEMBERSHIPS ,Mercy Air & Reach Medical Emergency Transport-Lake California Homes For Sale
Many residents in Shasta County and the California North State may be aware of the services of Mercy Air Ambulance and REACH Air Medical Services. What residents may not know is there are memberships available for Air Ambulance Services.
MEMBERSHIP: Both services actually have memberships available for individuals and families. The fees for membership range from $20 to $45 dollars, depending on group, individual or family membership.
It should be noted in times of emergency it may not be possible to request a specific Air Ambulance and the two services do not share a common membership. Therefore it is best to sign up for membership with both.
BENEFITS: The benefit of rapid transportation in a time of medical emergency is priceless. Members enjoy the added financial benefit of knowing there will not be a large unsatisfied bill for air transportation services, should the need arise.
SERVICE AREA:
Mercy Air Ambulance provides comprehensive air medical transport throughout northern California. Individuals are eligible for membership with Mercy Air Ambulance if they reside in one of the following counties: Siskiyou, Shasta, Lassen, Modoc, Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino, Colusa, Glenn, Tehama, Butte, Sierra and Plumas.

We are fortunate to have an airport, 68CA in the Lake California Community providing Air Ambulance Services easy access. This is a photo of the REACH helicopter taken at last year's Lake California Airpark fly-in.
PERSONAL TESTIMONY: Just 2 years ago one of our infant grandsons was visiting and experienced a life threatening emergency. He was diagnosed with RSV which can be fatal in infants. He was at Mercy Medical at the time. He needed emergency transportation to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. His immediate frail condition would not allow for ground transport. Inclimate weather, present at the time, cleared and REACH Air Medical was able to transport our precious cargo. He was still touch and go for over a week, but is quite the robust little 2 year old today. I have seen first hand the benefits of the air ambulance.
The bill was over $200,000.00. Without insurance that would have been quite a bill to pay. As we all know life is priceless. I hope you find this information helpful.
