Everyone is away on vacation, at the beach with the kids, or maybe the white mountains in NH, visiting family and friends, whatever it is most people are away in July~~somewhere. In New England there is plenty to do all year round. ..... the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains, 1 hr. from downtown Boston.....With that said, I am so glad that I have invested in my own personal realestate website, www.patricia4realestate.com for leads. Most everyone takes along their laptop when they travel so it is easy to stay in touch with everyone. With any luck at all one might be driving down the coastline from Portsmouth, to Hampton and drive by the home they want next summer to vacation in.

This has, for the last five years, been a great source of potetial business for me as a REALTOR Lic. in NH/ME/MA.Like everything worthwhile it takes awhile to mature and get out there into cyber space. Getting picked up by the major search engines is what we web owners want and work hard to get.   For me it's paid off and when the summer real estate market is slower it has kept me alive.  If you are thinking of putting a website out there get going!  You won't regret it.

Totally agree with you Patricia on the importance of having a website.  It's almost become as essential as having a phone.  I think that blogs will also begin to become a central agent of business marketing as well.

Patricia, I have opperated for a number of years, by word of mouth.  No website.  Finally, this year, I got one.  I am amazed at the increase in my contacts.

BTW,  I laugh at your line about driving up the coast.  My husband and I did just that, a number of years ago.  We drove from Cape Cod to Portsmouth!  Absolutely loved it.  I saw a number of beautiful New England homes I would have loved to have purchased is we only lived a little closer. :-)
