Surprisingly, the snow has been a bit light this year (I should not speak too soon.) So, no, it has not affected business this winter. And, you sold real estate in Boston, so you know that sometimes it can be trying in the winter but, this year, it is not so bad.

Claudette:  Interesting that the only home in Ashland that sold in the last week is higher than the average list price.  Here, the lower end of our market is what is moving like a riptide.

Chris Ann:

We have not had the onslaught of foreclosures in Massachusetts that there have been in many other parts of the country. Over the past six months in Ashland, for example, most of the home sales have been in the $200,000-$350,000 price range. And, the average sales price for Ashland last year was $350,000.

Last year, 385 properties sold in Ashland.  Of those, only 18 were bank owned or short sales.
