Solving Problems

Can you keep a secret??

Today I was determined to CLEAN HOUSE on my laptop. So off I went diving into my old emails looking for old leads like someone else would plunge into a jar of coins looking for a 1943 copper penny. Sadly most of my emails were junk. Two hours later (I had a TON of old emails) Everything went into the Outlook recycle bin and I had only the emails I wanted. There was only one problem when I sent them to my desktop....I deleted my recycle bin by mistake. UGH! Knowing an ExLax was NOT going to help me at this point, and asking my husband was admitting defeat I chose to Google it. THANK YOU GOOGLE! I got all the directions I needed in plain English. now I am no longer plagued with unwanted trash and my laptop is happy!

The point of this short post tonight is to enlighten any Techno-challenged folks like myself. My problem is that I married a programmer and have gotten in the habit of handing him my computer whenever it seems unhappy. It was 2010 and about time I started to do this myself, you can too! Believe it or not you can type in the SIMPLEST explanation of your techno problems and answers will turn up right away! Be sure to type in what system you are using. For example I'm using Vista. I typed: I deleted my vista desktop recycle bin. Poof! it appeared and I had my problem solved !! You AR friends are the only ones who know!

PS My picture is supposed to be somewhat humorous. My philanthropical dream is to bring Apple and PC users together for a day of peace....like Woodstock! LOL

We use our thinkpad to sync up with the ipod all the time... until my daughter left her ipod shuffle in her jeans and it went through the wash.  At least her songs are backed up.

Just today I wanted to make up a nice dynamic presentation in Keynote on my Mac.  I was clueless, I googled it voila!  3 hours later I had a great presentation....  Now how to get it from Keynote to Quicktime and then to YouTube??  Google again.  :)  I LOVE the internet!!!

Karin, marrying a programmer is even better than having a teenage kid to do it for you!  I may need one of each!   And I so love my Mac!
