The Good Old Days! MOMA in New York City Remembers--Do YOU?

By
Home Stager with Feng Shui Manhattan Long Island #888

I remember....most of it, anyway.   Bob Dylan  except for his early days and hearing (but being too young to go) to Greenwich Village in New York City.  It is said Cafe Wha gave it's start to some of the BEST performers of their time:  Bob Dylan and Janis Jopin among them.

Moma--- Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York has a display that took me back in time.

MOMA New York City by Feng Shui Manhattan Consultant Laura CerranoThis Feng Shui Consultant in New York City loves BALANCE...and COLOR.  The Bottom picture certainly shows both!

Art in New York City by Laura Cerrano Feng Shui Manhattan & New YorkI love the ARTWORK and the COLORS.

I have Peter Max somewhere.  Not the REAL Peter by one of his Photos that is hanging in MOMA in New York City!  Talk about Genius.....his original POSTERS are going for $1500 and up :)  My favorite is LOVE -  of course!

The Museum of Modern Art in New York City is a wonderful way to spend a day....or an hour!

Carole- looks like a great exhibit. Like you, I heard about all these people, but was too young to go to see them, plus I lived in a farm town way outside of Buffalo where nothing happened!

I may be coming up to New York next week, maybe I'll try to see this exhibit.

Carole - I love that iconic "LOVE" poster in the top photo.  I heard somewhere, that is created by Shepard Fairey, who had created Obama's "HOPE" campaign poster.  But Fairey was born in 1970.  It isn't likely he would be the "LOVE" poster creator.

Hi Carole, Wow, you're right - the vibrant colors just jump off of those posters.  What a talented artist!

Carole,
I was born in 1958, so just caught the tail end of the 'hippie' generation.....but oh how I wanted  to be a part of it! Beautiful paintings....it would be a wonderful exhibit to see.

Carole....you realize you were originally probably supposed to view that in a somewhat "altered" state! LOL
You would like the Woodstock Museum...it has flashing lights and a painted bus too!!

Such a great exhibit. I've always loved that genre of art. In fact, the only picture I have on my walls is my autographed Peter Max lithograph! Oh, I so need a visit from the Feng Shui Queen!

Thank you ALL for your comments....I am sorry to get back here late but we had the presentation yesterday.

I LOVED this exhibit!  Part of it I remember including wearing some Peter Max clothes (sewn to fit :).  Joni, I tried to make it to the Woodstock Museum last summer but it got cold SO quickly....I was 16 when they had Woodstock and am SO sorry I wasn't allowed to go!

I remember being in a client's home on Long Island and his whole house was filled with this artwork; even his furniture was from the '60's and '70's.  I really had fun with that consult :)

Linda, If you're coming up to NY, please call me!
