Home Warranty – a Great Investment and MUST for Homeowners

Did you know that there's a 60% chance that a major system or appliance in your home will fail in the next year?  And, unless you are handy-man, you, along with millions of homeowners are needlessly spending thousands of dollars on home and appliance repairs.

Like many homeowners, I am a big advocate of minimizing monthly expenses; however, purchasing a home warranty is one of the best investments you can make.  Personally speaking, just in the last 8 months alone, my home warranty company has provided me…after the failure of these appliances…with a new 3.5 Ton AC unit and dishwasher, and has performed multiple repairs in my home, including plumbing and electrical work.  Needless to say, I’ve saved thousand of dollars by having my home protected with a home warranty.  These savings can be very substantial, particularly for homeowners who have homes that are 15 years or older.  In addition to the dollars saved for what could otherwise be very costly repairs, most home warranty companies allow you to immediately begin using the home warranty service without a grace period.

The annual cost for home warranties usually ranges from $350 - $500, depending on the company you use.  There is also a service fee, which ranges from $45-$60, that you typically pay for each service call.  For more information regarding the three (3) major home warranty players –American Home Shield, Old Republic Home Warranty and First American Home Protection, Google them online.

I agree. We do not sell a home without a home warranty and encourage everyone we know to have a home warranty at all times. We personally have used Fidelity with Cheryl Blatt in our business for many years with very good service and results.
