Friday the 13th

Just dawned on my that today is Friday the 13th again.

Cannot recall which clients I have dealt with on this superstitious day in history but I know there are times that I've made reference to the date while writing contracts.

Last year one of my clients had the unfortunate incident of their house catching fire a few months after they moved in.  I just reviewed the dates and don't see any related to Friday the 13th.

Curious if anyone has interesting stories about reactions they receive from people putting together contracts or closings on this date.

Today is Friday the 13th and it seems like it's the best day I've had this week. So, the bad luck 13th - who knows.... the day hasnt really ended yet. But if it stays the way it is, I think it is looking good.

George... I may have some demonic tendencies but I'm no Speed Demon. The Middletown Run is part of the Main Street Festivities on Thursday July 19th.  If all goes off on schedule it will start at 6:45 and in the spirit of today I will cross the finish line at 7:13

In terms of my work contracts, I try not to do anything major on Friday the 13th. Yes, I can be a little superstitious. So I played some golf today......and I absolutely sucked. Must be because it's Friday the 13th, right?? :)

Julia...Sounds like you were pretty lucky spending the day of the golf course & had a good excuse for the score.

Hey Dan,

I was not looking to spam you.  I thought you might find the history behind the day interesting.  If this offended you I apologize.  I was under the impression that Active Rain was a community as much as it is a marketing medium and felt that the true story of why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky might be one you would like to share with others in the future.
