**WARNING!! Never Drive in the Rain with your Cruise Control On**

According to a highway patrolman, if you are driving in the rain with the cruise control on and your car begins to hydro-plane and your tires lose contact with the pavement, your car may accelerate to a higher rate of speed making you take off like an airplane.

This warning should be listed on the driver's seat sun visor - NEVER USE THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THE PAVEMENT IS WET OR ICY (along with the airbag warning).

I'm glad I heard about this because I drive with my cruise control all the time to drive a safe speed, but never knew that it should be used only when the pavement is dry.

I read this somewhere else today, but it was in a comment from a couple months ago. It is very dangerous and you hit an ice patch and your wheels keep going you are spinning out of control faster than your brain can process what is happening.
