What is the Women's Media Center so afraid of.......... Tim Tebow of all people.... Really!

I find it interesting that a group of women are so adamant on shutting down a commercial that is set to air during the Superbowl this year. The commercial which is being paid for by Focus on the Family tells the story of Tim Tebow's mother Pam who went against a doctor's advice and decided to keep Tim despite medical risks.

This is a subject near and dear to my heart because I was told the same thing from doctors and had I listened my husband and I would not have our son Cody.

The Women's Media Center is the group that is trying so hard to have the commercial taken down.

Women's Groups Blast 'Divisive' Pro-Life Super Bowl Ad -- Without Even Seeing It

Now let's take a look at the Women's Media center whose president Jehmu Green, is the former Rock the Vote head. Women's Media Center says that their goal is to work with the media to ensure that women's stories are told and women's voices are heard. But now they are working very hard to not allow a Conservative Christian woman's story to be told because it is a story that celebrates life and a women's choice to choose life.  Hmmm I find that interesting.

I wrote a post several weeks ago Just how much more will Parents allow before we stop what we are doing and speak out!! where I showed a commercial that Rock the Vote put together.

As a parent and as a women I am sickened and appalled by women like Jehmau Green.

Here is an add by Rock the Vote which by the way is a tax exempt 501c3 non-partisan ‘charity' who was working hard for the Democrats and Obama and his push to pass Health-care reform.

I heard an interview with Jahmu Green this morning where she was putting out false information saying that 70% of Americans were supportive of a women's right to choose. I would like to know where she is getting her numbers. She also stated that Focus on the Family is UnAmerican. What?????

Here is what Tim Tibow is all about. I would say his mother Pam is an amazing women who raised an amazing son who's story has every right to be told. Watch and tell me who you want your child to be influenced by. Rock the Vote or Tim Tebow.

As for me and my house, We will serve the Lord. Just as Tim Tebow does.

Time has proven that the "pro choice" feminists, are really only for choice when the choice is killing the unborn. What a sick bunch!

Alice,

This too is near to my heart. I adopted two babies at birth whose mothers could have aborted but chose not to. Lots of babies crying out from the grave who were aborted. We are no different than Hitler. Lets feature this on spiritualrain because this is a spiritual battle we are in over abortion.

Alice - Jon Buddish has it right.  Pro-choice supporters do not support all women, just those who are pro-abortion.  Just consider how Sarah Palin is hated primarily because she's pro-life and now Tim's mom is going to be hated as well.

Alice,

I just heard a woman opposed to that ad running on TV refer to pro life as 'UnAmerican'...I just read that over 56% of Americans claim to be pro life and that figure keeps rising as technology supports a pro life stance...Lying to women is PPs MO...!!!

If that statement doesn't demean womanhood, I don't know what does...!!!

Planned Parenthood and its sibling anti-woman groups have spawned an industry that preys on the most vulnerable among us...and they pawn it off cleverly as 'family planning'...it is 'family destruction'...

And African Americans and those of Hispanic descent are disproportionately targeted for abortions...

Their new Houston abortion mill is located smack dab in the heart of those 2 communities...!!!

Thanks,   Fran

The fact that they're objecting to an ad WITHOUT EVER HAVING SEEN IT betrays their hatred.  I thought they were interested in making abortions "safe, legal, and rare."  This ad purportedly will be attempting to encourage that last message - trying to encourage abortions to be rare.  Rather than ranting about what they THINK might be in the ad, why not praise the ad for the part they allegedly agree with?  Namely, encouraging abortions to be rare.  Unless, of course, they're really more interested in promoting abortions and expanding facilities to provide ever more abortions.

Even though I consider myself "Pro-Choice", I applaud Tebow and Focus on the Family, for what I hope will be a positive ad, encouraging people to revel in the good, hard decision of one lady to go against the advice she'd been given to abort her child.

Thanks for taking time to post this Alice! There's always been a double-standard about this.  People say they are pro-choice.  I know what they're talking about but I ask them anyway, "what's the choice"? and this is where the conversation gets interesting.

OK, now the ad has been seen.  Their hate-filled complaints are much ado about nothing.

The ad NEVER mentioned abortion... AT ALL!

So their hateful complaints turn out to be complaining that it's divisive for a mother to be concerned about her son.  And it's divisive for a mother to joke about being tougher than her son.

Looks like the haters can't stand any parent caring about their child.  And are most concerned about assuring children are either aborted or unloved.

Wow!  The haters really look foolish now... don't they?
