2010 Summer Rentals... We are off to a great start with an excellent January, 2010!!!
The one plus during the past three years has been the ongoing success of the "summer rental season." Generally, a lot of our rental tenants plan for two vacations during the summer or the year ... one in "Ocean City, New Jersey," and the other somewhere else, generally further away from their home base. Of course, that means that Ocean City (NJ) always gets them for one of their vacations. That has not really changed all that much in my 18 years as a rental agent here at French Real Estate in the Northend and Gardens sections, that area north of Sixth Street to the Longport Bridge and the end of our barrier island.
Obviously, many changes have taken place in the rental process over the years ... the major one being that the internet now directs rental tenants to property locations often before the agent can talk with the tenant. We have far fewer perspective tenants making the trip to Ocean City to check out rental property. But I usually encourage tenants to review our interactive rental web-site at www.FrenchRentals.com and talk with me ... the site first or me first -either way works well. Since we are located in "the Northend and Gardens," almost all of our rentals take place in these areas. I live, work, and play in this area and know each and every house and condo that we rent. So it becomes quite important for perspective tenants to touch base with me.
One fairly significant change that has been happening in the last couple of years has been the increase in owners who want to rent for at least part of the summer. Along with that change has been the increase in properties throughout the Northend and Gardens in all locations. We now rent properties from the beach to the bay.
