My favorite vacation as a kid was a week on Lake Shasta and I can tell you personally for me that beat out Disney Land, Knotts Berry Farm, San Diego Zoo combined. It was so much fun being out on the lake for a week on the house boat. As soon as my kids are old enough, I will do it again with them.

Todd,

My first trip to the lake was on a house boat. We brought our tournament boat up and had a great time. The water was remarkably warm considering it was in May and Mt Shasta is so near.

There are some great buys on the water and the lake now.
