Real Estate Assistants: To Be Licensed or Not--That Is The Question!

By
Real Estate Agent with ERA Realty Center

The answer is a resounding, YES!"  I was thinking today about a trip coming up for me in the near future!  I love relaxing to the sound of ocean waves while reading a book and napping in the warm sun!  Suddenly, I felt gratitude for my licensed assistants.  I can leave with the knowledge that my assistants will continue to give my clients the same quality of service that they would get if I were there!  That's very comforting because it is very important to me to always give top service.

I have had real estate agents try to talk me out of hiring licensees.  I know they were well-meaning because my overhead is outrageous for this economy!  I'm sure they just wanted to show me how to save a little money.  However, a licensed agent can do anything I can do.  They are worth their weight in gold!

With a licensed agent, my client and customers will get quality service with all of their real estate needs.  Without a license, assistants can't even show a house or quote a sales price of a home.  What good is that?  I'm very grateful for my licensed real estate assistants.

Let's have a vote!  What do you think?  Is it best to have licensed or unlicensed assistants!

They certainly should be licensed as they need to know many of the same things as all agents do.
