Utopia is something mankind has always dreamed of but if it were ever achieved, we likely wouldn't be satisfied and might even comment "It's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there". Achieving Utopia would assume we could reach perfection and a place where nothing could be improved upon.
I for one, would not be very happy if I had achieve all my goals and had nothing further to look forward to. How about you?
It seems that the human race is most happy when they still have the most to accomplish. According to statistics the suicide rate is higher among the Rich than it is among either the poor or middle class. Now, I don't recommend that we reduce the suicide rate by making more people destitute and moving people quickly from one Life style to another can be equally disastrous, as the last year has shown.
From this little diatribe , we can take away two things,
1) Enjoy the trip every day and don't make the mistake of thinking you can only be happy when reach the goal you are working toward.
2) Immediately set a new goal the moment you achieve the one your working on.
We are far from realizing Utopia as we have ever been because the opportunities ahead of us are limitless.
There is always something new and interesting and possible tomorrow. So go out there and set some new goals!
