My husband and myself have decided to do this crazy race in May here in North Georgia called the Warrior Dash. It's basically a 5K but with obstacles along the way.
You run then jump over a ring of fire. Run then get down low and crawl through a mud pit and it gets worse from there. But I guess in our age group(which I will let you guess) we now feel we have to push ourselves into doing things out of the box before we are to old to survive anything of this nature.
Then I thought that the elements of this race are a lot like working in Real Estate today.
I continually feel like I am jumping through hoops of fire or wading on my hands and knees through the mud. But in a way I never knew any different. I only started in Real Estate early 2007 so by the time I had my feet wet things were on there way down hill. But since I have learned to jump and get through the mud I hope it has made me a better agent.
I want to make sure my sellers are informed and a will work to make that short-sale or get the offers that at first scared my sellers to the closing table.
It occurs to me that some people in this business are having a really ruff time because it always came so easy. I think since I got training in the pits that I hopefully have started with good work habits and I'm very aware of a working relationship with my sellers.
So here's to all of us working in the trenches! And getting no mud on your face.
