I'm playing with my new camera and took this shot right at the Pit River in Fall River Mills, CA! It was a gorgeous sunny day and these California Poppies called to me. I think the blue flower is a wild Bachelor Button but am not definite on that! I like the blue in among the gold!
This (along with my visit to Vegas Bob) makes me want a new camera. I don't even have one, just my iphone!
Wow!
And I just got done shoveling 10 inches of snow
your friend in Charlottesville Virginia!
Trey, that is hard to answer. They were prolific along the side of the road right at the Pit River. It was a field of them. I would guess someone has been throwing the seeds out there. However, the poppy is our state flower and it does grow wild. I don't recall seeing that many in one spot, however.
Chris, I think you would enjoy it. It let's me have an artistic side while I am out and about doing real estate. I try to take it with me everwhere. Who ever took those photo on your post has a wonderful camera. The looked great!
Charles, ((burr))! I really appreciate California. We are having major rain but no snow! It is all around the City of Redding however on three mountain ranges. If I want some snow....it is nearby!
Wow, Jeanean, I had no idea the poppies were in bloom. My tulips are coming up, though, and my rose bushes are beginning to bud. I forgot to prune my rose bushes, which I always do around the first part of January. So, I took a break on Friday and did it. Hope I wasn't too late.
Love the flowers and the deeply saturated color. Have fun with your new camera. I find it a wonderful hobby.
Elizabeth, I need to prune my roses. I hope I'm not too late as well. Thanks for the reminder!
