Many areas in Southwest OK were severely hit by a winter storm on Thursday. Entire counties were left in the dark, as the ice did it's damage. Slowly some towns are melting their way back. However, many places will not have power it is said for another week at best. I ask that you keep the effected in your prayers in the coming difficult days and possibly weeks ahead.
Paul,
We are so lucky in McCurtain County- we did not get any ice or snow.
We are still trying to recover from the devastation. This was like a double punch, 1st the Christmas Eve snow stor, and ten now the ice storm almost 1 month later to the day! Estimates in Lawton alone are in the millions. It seems or looks like a tornada went through and broke down every tree in the area.
Paul,
Just came by to check on you, I guess Real Estate is keeping you pretty busy?
Thanks Judi! We are trying to get back to normal around here, but it is hard for many people. Why just yesterday at many of the properties where the electricity was restored, it was disconnected for safety reasons. On many of the homes and perhaps businesses the ice pulled/riped the electrical connections away from the structure walls. Most of these were the older structures where the powerlines ran from poles instead of being underground.
Yes I am pretty busy with the real estate.
