Washougal River Living is a LIFESTYLE! 360-852-1689

Washougal River Living Homes are a LIFESTYLE!   There are many fun water sport activities available on the Washougal River in Washougal, WA!  I was driving up the beautiful Washougal River Rd. the other day. I looked down on the river bank, there was a good friend of ours standing down near the river, fishing pole in hand. Surprisingly, there was a big grey Heron standing behind him. The Heron was only about six feet away from him, not scared at all. I yelled down a my friend, Jack. "Hey, Jack, how are you today.... and did ya notice the big bird?" He said "Yep...did YOU notice the big Steelhead lying over there?? That's what the Heron is checking out!" Jack's prize steelhead was lying amongst the rocks and was at least two feet long! Jack is one of the best fishermen on the river. It's truly an art to catch a fish...and Jack is a master at it. He fishes every day, rain or shine. He doesn't live on Washougal river frontage but so many people know him along the river, they all give him river access. Everyone knows good ole Jack.

There are lots of cool homes on the Washougal River with frontage access for sale. Many potential buyers call me and want a "really cheap fixer-upper" along the river. (Especially around the MotorCross time the last week in July!) They're craving a fishing spot, a place to put in their boat, a place to suntan by in the summer, or a place for their grandkids to learn to swim, catch waterbugs and collect cool rocks.

Most potentional Washougal river buyers don't truly understand that river living is a "LIFESTYLE." In order to own and enjoy a "piece of the river" it's going to cost you a little more than just a simple residence. There are other things to understand too...like you'll have a lot of company in the summertime! Everyone loves an opportunity to enjoy the  river beaches and cool waters. Once in awhile, there is a downside to being on the river...there is occasionally there is a chance of flood. Most river families have built in protections for this rare occurence. But, mostly there are great things to enjoy about the river...the LIFESTYLE, watersports, the wildlife such as birds, eagles, splashing salmon and steelhead...etc!

Washougal River Living is a LIFESTYLE...it's well worth the increased purchase price to own a river home! Call me today to discuss your opportunity to purchase your own piece of the river!

Jill,

Sounds like the river is the place to be.  You seem to know that area and are the person to contact to buy a home with for sure.
