AMP

Real Estate Agent with www.eBrokerHouse.com

It appears that a lot of agents are very confused about the new AMP management system released recently by Res.net. I would like to offer some insight into this.

For some of you agents that do not know, Res.net is a platform/portal by which lenders and asset management companies communicate with agents. Res.net themselves does not assign listings to agents. The listings come from the lenders and Asset Management companies. You need to be approved with them to receive listings. Res.net is the platform or vehicle through which you are notified, paperwork is transacted, and you communicate with your asset manager. So just being on Res.net alone will not get you any listings. But if you want listings from any of the companies that utilize res.net as their portal, you need to be registered.

That being said, they recently released the AMP management software. I think many of you are confused as to if you need to use AMP if you want to get listings. The answer to this is no. Like I said above, Res.net is not who assigns you the listings. They are assigned by the lenders and Asset Management companies. They do not care what system you use to manage your business as long as you are organized and do a good job for them.

The following is taken directly from the Res.net website concerning AMP:

"Please note: Accelerated Management Platform (AMP) is a stand-alone software application - selecting this application alone will not place you in our Agent Database. If you are looking for all the features of AMP and you would like to be considered for Listing assignments in your area, you should purchase both AMP and the Listing Membership Access"

I feel that many of you are already using a system you like or want to use other systems such as eBrokerHouse, Taza, REO Maestro or even your own system and are being scared into using AMP. I urge you not to be scared into a system that you don’t want to pay for and another system you don’t want to use.

If you’re still not sure about if AMP is a requirement for listings, please contact your asset managers and pre marketers at the companies you work for and ask them if using AMP makes a difference in the listings you will get. Don’t ask res.net, as you will most likely get an employee of res.net that will be inclined to push AMP. Your AMs are the ones assigning you the listings and they will tell you the truth.

I have nothing against AMP or Res.net and this info is not meant to discourage anyone from using the AMP management system. If you are in the market for a management system and feel AMP is the best available option, by all means choose them. But I just don’t like hearing from agents that they feel that they have to pay for AMP if they want listings….this just isn’t the case. I know the bulk of our eBrokerHouse members that are REO agents are receiving listings through Res.net and they don’t pay for AMP.

I attended a seminair on AMP today in Irvine Ca.
I am use to using RES.net and it just looks like they took
that portal and expanded it to do more including Short Sales.
the cost is $495 and I have been told I will need to purchase it if
I want to be assigned assets from RES.net

Thomas,

Thanks for the no-sell article. I did a 2 week trial of your product and liked what I saw. I also wanted to try AMP. With AMP there is no 2 week trial, just a 30 day MBG. AMP just does not do what I need it to do right now. Listing functions are great but I also need the strong BPO functions that your product offers and AMP does not at this time. I am planning on cancelling AMP and subscribing to eBrokerHouse tomorrow.
The fact that Thomas called me personally during my 2 week trial really gave me the impression that he cares and is personally invested in the viability of eBrokerHouse.
