The first photo is out my window..West Rush Lake, MN..the second was an astonishing piece of luck coming over a hill near Willow River, MN. There were 4 eagles on this fawn..most back off and screamed at me as I tried to get the shot, but this guy was staying put! I have about 9 angles before he got mad enough to fly..but the minute I was in the car, he triumpantly took the kill back!...One day, not wanting to leave the North Shore, I took every back road I could. This proud unicorn (in my fantasy!) begged to be photographed.
