One of the reason to love New York is that twice a year, in January/February and June/July, there is a unique opportunity to experience some of New York City's finest restaurants for a fraction of the usual price.
It's time again for that wonderful New York City tradition -- Restaurant Week! This winter, New Yorkers get to enjoy another extended Restaurant Week and dine at Manhattan's trendiest and best restaurants from January 25 to February 7, 2010.
We booked ourselves to Bobby Flay's MESA GRILL in Flatiron district and ordered ourselves some delicious lunch. (Menu Here). For appetizer, we had roasted Cauliforwer + Green Chile Soup, Main course we had smoked chicken and black bean quesadilla and Grill Mahi Mahi with creamy green chile rice. Deserts were Pinapple buttermilk upside down cake and chocolate peanut butter flan.
New York's top restaurants serve three-course lunches for $24.07(in a cute play on 24/7, though discounts are not good on Saturdays, though some restaurants are offering deals on Sundays) and three-course dinners for $35.00 (beverage, tax and gratuity not included).
