If a Potential Clienct Offered You 18.5 million...Would You Take It?

As agents we get a lot of emails. A lot of the emails are good, it informs us of new products that are out there that may benefit us as we conduct business with our clients. Other emails are out there to deceive and mislead us as Realtors. Take for example this email sent to me by a Henry Komo in the U.K.. I'm not certain if you have received a similar email, but please review and be aware of what is out there. This person has emailed me numerous times offering me 20% of his 18.5 million. With the world being in the state that it is in, with religious ultra factions blowing up everything and utilizing terrorist funds to do so, we must be prudent about the types of people that request business from us. Please review and let me know what you thin about the enclosed email sent to me 7/11/07. Thanks

Thank you for your response to my proposal and your anticipated co-operation. I want you to know that you have no cause to be afraid because this was conceptualized with a lot of consideration given to the laws here in Nigeria and internationally.
 
Surely, I must let you understand the nature of this project which practically is a "deal" and was conceptualized for the need to elevate the financial state of my family and it can in turn improve your financial state too. Therefore, this project was borne on the premise to make better my living standard and that of my family. Be rest assured that every procedure to be followed in this project is legal and binding between the two of us as I am willing and ready to go to the length to feed you with every back-up information in regards to this project from the contract files.
 
Once again, I assure you that these funds would be remitted into your account by the financial institution where these funds are held within a short time after the fundamental procedures must have been concluded. Please carefully peruse the details below and get back to me immediately for us to proceed.
 
I offer you 20% of the total funds, wherefore at the conclusion of transfer I would meet with you to collect my own part of the money (80%). Also I would want us to go into an agreement before we proceed, The Agreement will state clearly that I am depositing $18.5 million into your account and I am entitled to 80%  of the money and you are also entitled to 20% of the money.
 
In these way both parties involved will be secured and assured that at the successful transfer of the funds into your designated bank account,each person will receive the percentage due to each individual. I would like to remind you that nobody must know or have the slightest idea that you are not in any way the real executor of the contract, all I want from you is to have confidence in me and let the necessary back-up information I have about the contract files work it's way and make this project successful because I would be at the background to feed you with every information as regards to this project that would facilitate and enhance the procedures to achieving success of this proposal.
 
All I want you to know before we finally proceed is that you are to commit your time, sincerity and support while I would feed you with the necessary details needed to ensure that the project goes smoothly.
 
On this note, I want to reassure you that the procedure to be adopted in processing and effecting the transfer is fully official and legal. I want you to know that this business is going to be of great benefit to both of us provided you adhere strictly to my instructions. It will be very pertinent for me to give you a brief picture of my self and the steps we shall take to make this deal a huge success. I am a man of 49 years, married with four kids. You should also feel free to contact me on 234-806-626-5572 for further information.
 
I have contacted you on this matter so that we both can successfully actualise the release of these funds from the Bank. Therefore what I need from you is your readiness and total committment to work with me in ensuring that this funds are relased to you by the Bank.
 
All we need to do now is to commence operation effectively by having you send me some relevant information with which I will use to process some necessary documents in your favour. 
 
Finally, I want to remind you again of the need and importance of utmost confidentiality and your full adherence to my instruction for our success. With all due respect, I expect the highest level of your compliance to my instructions as I have made all the necessary investigations needed and I am positively sure that all would be coming out to a successful end only if and I  repeat only if you adhere to my instructions.
 
Let me also remind you that you must be willing to commit  the time and attention that this transaction demands and  most of all your sincerity. Once these understanding is  perfectly implemented, then we are bound to meet in  person to celebrate the success of our transaction in a  matter of days.
