Founded in 1974, Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve is a 227 acre sanctuary in the Texas hill
country.
Located on the east side of Loop 360, just one mile north of Bee Caves Rd. You can also find it
from the Loop 360 bridge, approx. three miles south.

One of the coolest aspects about this preserve is that they have several programs for many of the
surrounding schools. They take kids of all ages on hikes around the preserve, educating
students on animals, plants, and bugs!
If your an active adult that loves to explore the outdoors, this is a place that will leave you with
a lasting memory forever. I have been through a majority of the trails, they are fun and
challenging. You can get a copy of the trail map here.
There are many great places to live within the vicinity of Wild Basin Wilderness including a
lake side community called Davenport Ranch, one of my favorites! You can check out a
recent blog I did on Davenport Ranch here.
