Lapel, Indiana Days!

By
Real Estate Agent with Community Association Manager

Lapel, INDo you like elephant ears, home-made ice creams, fish-frys, car shows and streets of yard-sales?

Each year Lapel, Indiana has its annual Lapel Days.  The town becomes quite active with people participating in the many yard sales that the community has in progress.  Some of the historic homes are open to the public for tour and the downtown area has merchants and great food available.

Bob and I enjoyed Dan's Fish-Fry at the Ford Church on Ford Street last night and the home-made ice cream.  There was a wonderful car show today hosted by the Lapel Fire Department and we walked down the streets visiting the yard sales and making sure we didn't miss something we might get a great deal on.

While tomorrow is the last day for this event, you may want to mark your calenders for next year so you can come out and enjoy the fun!

Cynthia, I love all of that stuff!!! Anytime I can find a little fair that sells funnel cakes, etc., I'm there! Actually we have have a huge fair here in Phoenix every October! Then my sisters and I go and look at stuff, and eat all of the bad food.

Midori - elephant ears are a fried donut type item.  Very flat, like an elephant ear and fried.  You can have powdered sugar or cinnamon or fruit on them.  Bad for you city and oh so good!
