TREC IAC Subcommittee teleconference

By
Home Inspector with Capital City Inspections TREC #7290

Well, the TREC IAC Subcommittee that is working on the proposed Commentary is planning a teleconference next Tuesday, 2/9. The meeting will be primarily to discuss the Commentary and how to incorporate it into the TREC Rules thereby becoming an 'enforceable' document. The effective result is that the Texas SOP will grow from a huge document to a massive monstrosity.

Agenda Item 4. Discussion and possible action to recommend to the Texas Real Estate Inspector Committee posting of sections of the commentary for public comment with the intent to include the commentary sections in the rules of the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Sure does seem they are dead set on maken the commentary, as a enforceable document. Which I think they are wrong.

Hello Michael - Thanks for the update.  I need to take some time to read the "monstrosity".

Yes, do read it...we, in Texas, already have the largest, most complex, onerous SOP of any in the world...by far! It looks like it will only become more complex. Be sure to go to www.soprfi.com and sign up for the e-mail updates there.
