My Rear End is Going to Go Condo If Spring Doesn't Come Soon to Maggie Valley NC.

We finally had some beautiful blue skies in Maggie Valley Sunday. The photos below were taken on Moody Farm Road and Soco Road (the main drag) in Maggie Valley, all within a 5 mile radius.

You really can drive down Soco Road in Maggie Valley and see cattle eating hay, shop at Market Square, and find some good food along the way, although some of our restaurants close down for the winter.

Curious about our January real estate sales here in Maggie Valley (Haywood County) NC? Here are preliminary numbers.

Looks like y'all got a lot more snow than we did. Thankfully it is starting to melt...

Susie - yep, winter is hanging in there, but what a beautiflul series of photos. Given what the groundhog said, looks like you have a ways to go.

We would have loved to see that blue sky today. Your photos of Maggie Valley are always so inviting - no matter if they're covered with snow.

You guys got some serious snow! Just how high is your elevation? Down here in below-sea-level Florida, we just switch the AC to heat and back again. LOL And breathe in constant moisture >.<

Susie, hang in there, it will all melt!  Let's just hope no one has to deal with floods when it does!

Yes, Michael, lots more snow and ice. Melting right now but another batch on the way.

Jeff, it was nice to have some blue skies Sunday to off-set the snow and the brown landscape!

Lee and Carol, we have more 'weather' on the way but are getting closer to Spring. Love the 4 seasons because you know things will change soon.

Lisa, I'm at ground level (couple thousand feet) ... not up high in the mountains. What's nicest to me is that it cools way down every night of the year, and I rarely need A/C.

Tony, the melting snow really makes our creeks more beautiful.

Robert, yes the fresh snow is magical! We have another weekend of it coming up. Good for the ski area.

June, another night of snow and ice for sure here too. Would love to get together!
