My Shih Tzu Won't Eat!!!

Once upon a time,

My little Shih Tzu, Dazie, wouldn't eat...I picked her up and held her close...but she wouldn't even look at me!!!  Every time I would try to get her to let me see her cute little face...she'd look away. 

Finally, I saw it!!  A tail was hanging from the corner of her mouth!!!  She was eating a LIZARD!!

I shrieked in terror!!!  What should I do??  I finally was able to coax the lizard from her jaw...with a piece of cheese.  Dazie opened her mouth for the yummy treat and the lizard ran off, all slimy, and grateful for it's life!!!

                                                                                                                

 

And the lizard lived happily ever after!!

Gross!!!  I can't believe the poor lizard was almost eaten by a Shih Tzu!!  Are you sure Dazie isn't a pit bull??

glad she didnt eat the lizared she would have been sick and the little lizard lives, My cat once ate the legs off a frog GROSS the poor thing was sitting there on the dining room floor and when i went over to pick it up to put it outside he had no legs... poor little frog i was so mad at Squiggy i know it was him and not Lou he was the hunter in the family

Oh my! My lab ate a lizard once when he was younger. But it didn't give us a chance to do anything. He just went and swallow the lizard as if he was a vacuum cleaner, no playing with it, no chewing, no anything. Just one motion and that was it. The lizard just disappeared. And it was a baby lizard nonetheless! My daughter and I where both screeming for a while when this happened! Poor little lizard, never had a chance...I'm glad yours got saved!

 Poor Maureen !!!! How traumatizing for you and the FROG. I somehow can see you caring for this little Wheelchair Bound Froggie !!! Or did he not make it...was there a Funeral?

       Your Lab was just a Baby and THOUGHT it was ..FAST TREAT !!!! OR, MAYBE he was Protecting YOU and the FAMILY !!!!!

Glad to hear the Lizard Lived.  I don't like to hear or see animals being hurt-the animal channel is taboo in my home!  Even roadkill makes me sad-ok so I will end a spiders life, but thats about it.  I love animals!  I have 3 dogs that now sleep in their cages rather then in bed with me ONLY because my husband is now taking up their spot-he put an end to that habit quick.  Anyway, glad your puppy didn't eat that little lizard-it could have been serious.  Thanks for the cute story.

Quite the little hunter your little Dazie! I think my dog just wishes she could eat a lizard once in her life! She's been practicing to catch them for the last 13 years but hasn't been successful!

That's a funny story.......It's a good thing your shih tzu didn't eat the lizard. I am sure it would of made him very sick. I have a boxer that is really good at catching little critters. Thanks for sharing.
