Staging a Home in Memphis Part II

Factor #3. Furnishing

It is very common for agents to show an empty house. While this does create a clean and open look, the reality is that most people don't have a very strong ability to imagine what a house will look like with furnishing.

It's important to have good clean and functional furnishing in the house when you are staging it so that the buyer can really get a feel for what the house will feel like when it is furnished. Pick just a few key pieces to help the buyer do that. Define a room and give it a purpose.

Thanks Olena.  I will check out your site.  In the meantime I've seen a lot of homes with smaller bedrooms, what do you do for a home that has smaller bedrooms?

For smaller rooms I would recommend light neutral paint, appropriate sized wall art and no large furniture pieces. And make sure the room serves only one purpose.
