It is very common for agents to show an empty house. While this does create a clean and open look, the reality is that most people don't have a very strong ability to imagine what a house will look like with furnishing.
It's important to have good clean and functional furnishing in the house when you are staging it so that the buyer can really get a feel for what the house will feel like when it is furnished. Pick just a few key pieces to help the buyer do that. Define a room and give it a purpose.
