Another Historic Community in Cape May County ... that's right, we're talking about Ocean City, New Jersey.
Along with a great historical district in the community in the great Northend section of the island, we also have a variety of selected landmark properties as well. The 185-1886 Ocean City (NJ) Life-Saving Station is certainly historic, in decent shape for its age, attractive, and worthy of being a major part of our history. It will be open each month for visitors to tour ... the next date will be Saturday, February 13th from 11:00 AM to 2 PM.
Located at 4th Street and Atlantic Avenue on the northeast corner, it has a commanding presence as one walks or drives by ... but the real catch is when you get inside and find out about its actual history. The building has been added to so it can be deceiving from the outside. Interested individuals could keep it as a residential house which it had been for many years. But it could also possibly become a great restaurant or some other type of property as well.
