Human nature is good.

Real Estate Agent with Century21 Unlimited

I have seen a lot of amazing people throughout my life.  The woman who gave all she had to the poor box.  Volunteers for those who are in need financially.  I have seen a man be faithful to his wife for many years.  I have met those who are incredibly warm and loving in everyway. I have felt a gentle touch when I was sad and shared in ordinary meals where extraordinary commitment and grace flowed throughout.

Since I have been involved in Real Estate, I have seen many things.  I have seen agents make incredible sacrifices to help people attain their dream homes.   I have witnessed Brokers give valuable insight into the process.  I have experienced a bond between Realtors despite their competition with each other.

We are challenged as Realtors to develop our character.  It is a privilege to help people obtain their dreams.  Seeing the good in people despite the crisis they may be going through encourages everyone involved.   It is important to learn and have an attitude of continued growth in our profession by continuing education in our field and continuing education for our person.

What are some ways to get personal education?

Take a different perspective by thinking about what someone else needs.  Think about your own goodness.  Volunteer for something.  Get involved in your community.  Go for a walk.  Find the people who have been good to you and figure out what they are doing.

Excellent post, Scott. "We are challenged as Realtors to develop our character."  I like that line of yours. Like it a LOT. It is so very true and I had never before stopped to think of that way. Looking back on my almost 12 years in this business, I now realize that my character has developed enormously and it is due to the trials, tribulations and the wonderful people I have met by being in this amazing industry.  Thanks; for making me stop and look at things another way today.

An inspiring post. I hope you will consider joining the Inspiration Group and posting it there . I will send you an invite.
