A Pond By Any Other Name....

By

In Texas we call them ponds.

People love ponds.  One of the most frequently asked questions I get on land/farm and

ranch listings is "Does it have a pond?"

I have been told that they are called different things in other parts of the country.

When conducting my MLS searches for properties with ponds I have noticed that in the

comment sections some of my fellow realtors will state things like, "Good place for a pond"

etc.  It makes in come up in our searches if a keyword search has pond in them.  HMMMMM.

Food for thought.

In Florida it would be called lake front property and demand a higher price.  Well at least it would before the crash.

I'm jealous that you have water on your properties in Texas.  Sometimes I get a puddle on the side of the house, but I would love to have a pond, brook, stream, creek, etc...

I'd also love to see who I am talking to!  http://activerain.com/blogsview/1463284/do-you-have-a-profile-picture-can-i-see-it-

Vic,

We love our ponds.  Now if I had a picture as cute as yours I would show it. :)

Stacie,

A lake in Texas has to be Big.

Larry,

Now that is a thought that never would have occurred to me.

It is a pond in the midwest too.  Lakes are bigger here...
