A day at the Spa...

By
Home Stager with Ready 2 Stage

Ready 2 Stage Home Staging & Redesign recently was asked for our ideas for a renovation project.  Dynasty Spas in Athens, Tennessee was needing a fresh new look for their customer lobby/lounge area and some bathrooms.  We were more than happy to oblige.  We created our very first sample board for them.

After a few months, most of the renovations are complete.  Some of our suggestions were taken and some were not.  The owner, having great taste and design skills of his own, used our insight and suggestions combined with his preferences to make it what he wanted.  We are pleased with the outcome of this project and would like to share the photos with you.

Before      After

Originally the lobby was to have hardwood flooring installed.  It was later decided that tile would be most durable and practical in this high traffic area.  (Still looking for just the right area rugs for the space.)

  Before   After

This area was for casual meetings etc. so some comfy seating was in order.

Their current sign with water feature was to be made into more of a focal point in the space.  We suggested using wood and stone to frame the feature and make it more prominent.

Before   After

Here is a shot of the finished focal wall.

Wow!  What a feature wall!  It looks a hundred times better than the before pictures - I can see why they wanted some talented stagers to help them out.  You did a great job and even if they didn't use everything you suggested, the outcome was fabulous.  Much more upscale than the befores!  great job!

Thanks Sheila!  Looks much warmer and comfortable than before.  The stone and wood are used throughout the rest of their offices and showroom, so it just seems appropriate to include them in the customer area.

Lori,

Wow!!!  The water feature really looks amazing!!!  It's rich and warm and it looks very professional at the same time.  I love when water and fire are brought together.  The wood and the stone really did make a statement.  Beautiful job!  Great for your portfolio!!!

Linda--Thank you for your kind comments.  I think that the changes are very pleasing and inviting to their customers.  Colors and textures really help a lot in "warming" things ups.

Thanks Liz!  I thought the blue was appropriate for a "spa" seller.  The wood and warmer colors are popular in this area.  The showroom has a lot of stone in it as well.

This business was wise to consult with you Lori! It looks so much more inviting and cozy, which is what you want in a spa - very nice.

Debra--Thanks for your kind comments.  I love the new look, which is very relaxing--even though they are manufacturing spas instead of offering spa services!! ha
