Shocking! A Home Under Construction in Maggie Valley, NC.

By
Real Estate Agent

It was shocking to see this home under construction in Maggie Valley! Long time no see construction. I noticed it Friday evening, down close to the Ghost Town in the Sky end of town. Progress I am sure has been hampered with all the snow, ice and rain we have had here in Maggie Valley, but it is nice to see something new being built.

Ironically, a couple of hours after I took this photo Friday afternoon, there was a "massive landslide" on Rich Cove Road just across Soco Road from this home, displacing at least 4 homes and quite a few families.

Always neat to see images of homes being built..worked on. That is a healthy sign.

Susie - it's good to see some positive signs of building. Perhaps that is a good sign.

Too bad about the mudslides. There have been a number of areas here hit with them, on more than 1 occasion in recent weeks, since we have had so much rain. We really need it but the destruction is horrible.

New construction has been a missed sighting around here too. So much wet weather - we just had a mudslide on one of the local roads, but no homes or cars involved - thank God.

OMG! So I guess there will be families who actually need this home very soon! Where are the displaced families staying for now?
